Monterey Bay, CA January 2006

Monterey, California

Linda (little Lynna) and Tom (mister) getting some fresh sea air.
The Most loved of them all.

Dang its obvious I'm not 21 anymore. lol. My cheeks are they're normal red-self. Boo hoo.
I feel alive and rejeuvenated now.

Deck view from the Aquarium of Monterey Bay, CA

Jelly Fish, name I can not recall. More like I was more fascinated with the actual specie to look at the name. Isnt it beautiful?
Looks like a lite up balloon. The Tiffanys of jelly fish in the ocean.

Jelly Fish swimming about.

This could have been an awesome photo if the camera was touching the actual tank. Never the less even with the flash the photo of the jelly fish floating delicately is cool enough.

I like this photo despite the massive amounts of strangers in it. To the far right of the photo is Mark, my Mom and Mister (Tom). Must be something about the bright blue and orange color jellyfish in the tank. Such unusual creatures, that of the jellyfish and not my family. But then again I suppose it would depend on who you ask. lol

Mark staring at the largest of fish tanks at the Aquarium. If you look hard enough above Mark is a sea turtle. Directly infront of him are large tunas and a few sharks. Unsure what the smaller fish are. The tank is so large and without anything blocking you from it. Standing there long enough one can become dizzy. Feeling like your falling into the tank , becoming one with the sea life. Very cool tank.

Gran and Lori. Wouldn't you love to have a fish tank in your house this large. So serene. Wonder what the kitties would think of it.

Three Generations. Myself, Gran and Mom

Mark & Tom at the Aquarium. Checking out the processing of sardines to cans during the time of WWII. Cans of sardines, white tuna, makarel and celery stalks were sent across the seas to feed troops during wartime. After the war canned meats were not as popular there after, minus that of tuna of course.

Gran's 74th Birthday so we headed for a beautiful day in Monterey. First we went to the Aquarium for a few hours. Then a brief walk on Main Street near the Cannery. Finding our way to a resteraunt for some drinks prior to dinner. Chatting , laughing , watching the sunset over the bay. Sea gulls screatching for leftovers behind us. After a few drinks we headed up the street to the Sardine Factory for dinner before heading back to the Bay Area. As we were leaving the resteraunt the bar was playing "play misty for me" from the movie with Clint Eastwood, which also took place in that same bar. Gran was the first to note that out.
